Free Upgrade your Stencil to Nano-Coating— Boost SMT First-pass Yield
Dear customers,
JLCPCB launches Nano-Coated Stencils to elevate your SMT soldering experience and boost your SMT first-pass yield.
This premium technology, widely adopted in high-precision applications such as mobile phone boards and communication devices, is now within easy reach.
Previously considered too costly for most users, this high-end solution is now available for just $4.72 at JLCPCB — a major breakthrough from traditional high prices.
Moreover, to celebrate the launch,we're offering a $5 coupon — enjoy nano-coating for free on your first order!
What is a Nano-Coated Stencil?
A Nano-Coated Stencil applies advanced high-vacuum deposition technology to uniformly coat the stencil surface and aperture walls with a nanometer-thick layer of fluorosilicone polymer.
This ultra-thin coating delivers:
Exceptional hydrophobicity and self-cleaning ability — water droplets visibly “stand up” on the surface(as pictured above↑), thanks to its superhydrophobic properties.Ultra-low surface friction and strong anti-adhesion — for smoother paste release.
The result:
Significantly reduced solder paste residue, more consistent and uniform paste deposits, longer cleaning intervals, and improved print quality.Ideal for PCBs with BGA, QFN, or other fine-pitch components.
Why you should Try a Nano-Coated Stencil?
5 reasons for you.
Boost SMT First-pass Yield
Enhanced paste release and uniform print definition contribute to consistent solder deposition and improved first-pass yield.Minimizing common issues like solder bridging, solder balls, and insufficient solder.
(When printing 0.4 mm pitch BGAs, the uncoated stencil can show solder bridging as early as the 5th print, increasing the risk of defects. In contrast, the nano-coated stencil stays clean and stable even after 30 prints. See the comparison results below ↓)
(The uncoated stencil often leads to uneven solder paste deposits and noticeable misalignment. In contrast, the nano-coated stencil delivers fuller, more uniform prints. SPI results show tighter solder height consistency, and common SMT issues like paste stringing are greatly reduced.See the comparison results below↓)
Reduced Stencil Cleaning Frequency
The nano-coated underside creates a superhydrophobic surface that repels solder paste, minimizing residue and reducing the cleaning frequency. Cleaning intervals increase from every 3–5 prints to every 20–60 prints, boosting productivity and reducing downtime.
Extended Stencil Lifespan
Nano-treatment optimizes the material's crystalline structure, resulting in a coating hardness of 400–450HV, which extends the stencil lifespan by 10–30%.
Ultra-Precise Printing
Nano-coating is applied to the surface of laser-cut stencils, achieving an aperture accuracy of ±5μm and the surface roughness is as low as Ra 0.08–0.15μm—ensuring flawless paste release and superior SMT results.
Highly Competitive Pricing
The market price for a nano-coated stencil is typically around $100, but at JLCPCB, it's now available for just $4.72 — delivering incredible savings. With a large and rapidly growing customer base for laser stencils, JLCPCB made an early investment in advanced nano vacuum coating equipment. This strategic move enables us to scale production, maximize equipment efficiency, and dramatically lower the cost per coating cycle — making premium nano-coating more affordable than ever.
